Melanie is a Pre-Licensed Therapist with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health and substance use challenges. With a comprehensive background in social work, she holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University.
As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences focused on Substance Abuse Counseling from Elgin Community College, Melanie brings a unique perspective on the complexities of addiction and recovery. Her approach is rooted in strengths-based practices, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower clients and foster resilience.
Melanie works with individuals of all ages, creating a supportive environment for clients. Her previous experience includes school social work and providing direct services to adolescents and adults struggling with addictions. She employs evidence-based practices to address a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, and substance use, ensuring that each client receives tailored care that meets their individual needs.

In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her two teenage children, her pets, and fostering kittens. She loves live music, road trips, and curling up with a good book.
