Alexis is a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges. She has worked extensively in community-based and clinical settings, providing care for individuals, families, and students navigating housing instability, domestic violence, addiction, and other difficult circumstances. Alexis is known for her ability to create a safe, trusting environment where clients feel heard and empowered to take meaningful steps forward.
She is skilled in motivational interviewing, client assessment, case management, crisis intervention, and group facilitation. She often integrates creative approaches such as music and art therapy techniques, a person centered strength based approach, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Alexis has experience guiding clients through complex systems, connecting them to resources, and offering both practical solutions and emotional support. Her therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented, helping clients build resilience while addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Alexis earned her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from West Virginia University, along with a minor in Addiction Studies. She is committed to walking alongside clients as they work toward healing and personal growth. Outside of therapy she enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family, and playing slow pitch softball.
